Wrestlers battle valiantly in regional loss to Niles

Inexperience proved to be the difference in the regional semi-final against Niles. Western battled as well as they could but the experience of the number-3 ranked team in Division 2 was too much and the Panthers lost 39-26.
Western had outstanding performances from Spencer Plate, Brock Hoffman, Tanner Jewell, Tyler Ebersole, Roman Withrow, and Trent Hullett. Other strong performances came from Noah Burk, Scott Cooley and Austin Catt.  Even though they lost to more experienced wrestlers they managed to keep their matches close and keep Niles from getting bonus points to run away with the win. Western finished the regular season with 22 wins and 10 losses.
