Your Student's Great Idea Could Win $25,000!
 
The Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge is now accepting entries for the 2013 competition. Encourage your students to enter for their chance to be named "America's Top Young Scientist."
Open to students in grades 5-8, the Young Scientist Challenge asks entrants to create a 1-2 minute video showcasing their great idea to solve a real-world problem. Videos will not be judged on production skills and may be recorded on cell phones or basic digital cameras.Ten national finalists will have the opportunity to work directly with a 3M scientist in an exclusive summer mentorship program and bring their innovative ideas to life. One lucky student has the chance to win: $25,000, a once-in-a-lifetime trip with Discovery Student Adventures, and many more exciting prizes.

The first 50 students to submit a video will receive a Young Scientist Challenge prize pack!
