The Lady Panthers hosted Mason Wednesday night in their first conference match of the season. It was an exciting match even though Western was ultimately defeated in three games.
Libby Breton was the lead hitter with 11 attempts and 4 kills. Cheyenne Bolenbaugh contributed with 4 kills total. The team played with a lot of determination and kept a positive attitude throughout the night. A breakdown in communication during critical moments was a key factor in their loss.
Coach Hobson said she is "pleased with the team progression from last year."
The travels to Battle Creek Saturday for the Cereal City tournament.
